Callum is the stepson of King Harrow of Katolis, and the main protagonist of the 2022 animated Netflix serial The Dragon Prince.

He was voiced by Jack DeSena, who also voices as Sokka from Avatar: The Last Airbender.

History

Callum was built-in to Sarai and an unknown father on July 15. At some point, his begetter passed away and Sarai remarried to Harrow, which made him the elder maternal half-brother to Prince Ezran. Upon the marriage, he was made a prince. However, equally Callum was not related to Harrow, Ezran was expected to ascend to the throne, and some would mock him for not beingness true royalty. Despite this, he developed a good human relationship with Harrow and Ezran. He would undergo lessons in sword fighting, something he would struggle with into his teenage years, but had discovered a passion for fine art, which benefited greatly due to having an eidetic memory. At one point, Callum heard of Ezran's power to talk to animals and asks him to evidence it, but it ended with his underpants getting soaked when told in that location was a treasure behind a waterfall.

After existence adopted by Harrow, he began drawing everywhere he could in Katolis Castle. After seeing him scratching artwork on the walls of his chamber with anything that he could find, Harrow decided to requite him his own sketchbook.

Volume i: Moon

Echoes of Thunder: Callum is seen drawing by his desk-bound during a tempest at dark while his blood brother Ezran is asleep in the next room. When both are startled past the sound of lightning, and Callum tries to console Ezran. The next morning, Callum struggles to practice his sword fighting with Soren and tries to go Claudia's attention, just was summoned by his stepfather along with his brother Ezran. He was informed that they were being sent to their wintertime gild which piques both princes' suspicions. As he was passing through the courtyard, Callum hears that Soren'due south voice from an open window that Moonshadow elves were going to assassinate Rex Harrow. He tries to join Soren'southward search party for the elves, but he denies his request. When Callum returns to his room to start packing, he becomes annoyed that his younger blood brother was playing with Bait and lashes out telling Ezran. He ends upward telling his little brother that assassins were coming for their begetter, which causes Ezran to run away, leaving Callum aback of himself.

Sol Regem: Rayla tells Callum about Sol Regem's misanthropy and how he was blinded during his reign non long before the wars between Xadia and Humanity began. They endeavor to sneak past the blind Sun Dragon, only he notices them after Zym unintentionally gives abroad their location. Rayla then attempts to negotiate with the Sun Dragon, but Regem is unreasonable, especially after finding out that Callum had used Dark Magic at one time. To be expanded

Sky Cardinal Connectedness

Later on Callum learned the Sky Arcanum, he gained the ability to draw power from the heaven. He is at his strongest in a storm or virtually the Sky Nexus. A Sky mage can apply their Primal Connectedness to magically heighten their motility, allowing bursts of speed and leaps of not bad length. Even with limited physical training, a Heaven mage can learn to perform feats of incredible agility.

- Sky Arcanum - Callum is the first and only known homo to forge a connectedness to an Arcanum. This makes him able to bandage spells based on the Sky Primal Source (Air and lightning) without Key Stones or other methods.
- "Aspiro": Allows Callum to unleash a potent breath of wind in front of them, pushing people or objects backward. Aspiro requires some physical exertion, as the mage needs to generate wind with air from his/her lungs to apply the spell. Callum has, on occasion, had to expend all air from his lungs to use the spell, having to catch his breath subsequently.
  - With his arm movements, Callum tin change the direction of his wind breath, which he used to trap Sol Regem in a stone arc.
- "Fulminis": Allows Callum to generate powerful electricity and unleash devastating bolts of lightning at enemies.
- Ventus spiralis": A spell taught to Callum by Pyrrah via Ezran. It allows Callum and those near him to breathe in areas of low oxygen.
- "Historia viventem":A moon spell taught to Callum by Lujanne which can testify the history of the location in which the spell was cast upon.
- "Mors Aperta": By performing a dance and saying the Aboriginal Draconic incantation, Callum was able to utilize the Moonhenge to activate a portal to a world between life and death, located in the lake at the heart of the Moon Nexus.
Mage Wings: By cartoon 3 runes on each arm, Callum has the ability to conjure wings in order to fly. With this ability, Callum was able to vault himself into a steep dive and apace take hold of up to Rayla to grab her in freefall, so lift her support to the safety of the acme.

Abilities

Photographic retention - Callum has a photographic memory and is able to recall an image after only a brief glance.
Artistic skill - Callum is an splendid artist, being able to perfectly describe runes, and make an accurate cartoon of a location (thanks to his photographic retentivity) or creature.
Physical Forcefulness: Callum has been shown to be exceptionally strong, able to hold upwards Rayla, Ezran, and Zym when they all fall off a cliff when Phoe-Phoe makes a rough landing.He's shown to be stronger than even Rayla, who needs his help to lift a dragon's wing. Later he scales hundreds of anxiety upwards the trunk of a behemothic tree without any actual physical exhaustion and climbs up the leg of a 200 foot Ambler while it was walking. He also has great stamina too, keeping up with and even outpacing Rayla on the climb up the Storm Spire.
Belittling Prowess: It's made abundantly articulate early on that this is Callum'south greatest talent. He is able to speedily analyze his surround through observation and detailed thinking. This ability allows allows him to learn and understand new skills and talents only by seeing or studying information technology once, seeing as how he's able to larn new spells and abilities (such as mage wings) subsequently seeing them on only one or two occasions.
